Hello and welcome to our blog! We are Leah and Lee, an Irish couple who love to travel and explore new places. We have been travelling together since 2019, and we have been to three different continents together so far: Europe, North America, and South America. Leah however has been to six continents throughout her travels, with only Antarctica left on her list.

Our travel journey together began in 2019 when we reconnected after six years. We quickly realised that we both had a passion for travelling and exploring. With Leah’s love for photography and videography, Lee suggested we vlog our travels, and so our YouTube page ‘Borders and Beyond’ began.

In 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world, we had to pause our plans for travelling the world. We were disappointed, but we used it to become creative with our content, and create some 'lockdown adventure' videos. We also used this time to improve our skills and also see more of our own beautiful country

In August 2021, we finally got to take a big trip to South America, where we explored Columbia, Ecuador and Peru, before stopping in Mexico and Florida on the way home. We were amazed by the beauty of each country, from the ancient city ruins of Macchu Pichu, to the unique biodiversity of the Galapagos Islands. It was honestly a trip of a lifetime.

Upon returning home from our trip, we quickly learned that we would be expecting a baby, which would put a pause to our travels, but it was also the beginning of an exciting new adventure for us. We welcomed our beautiful daughter Lillie-Grace into the world in late 2022. 

After a year of adjusting to parenthood we are back travelling as a family of three, when we can. Definitely at a much slower pace than before. We want to show Lillie-Grace the wonders of the world, and teach her about different people and places. We also want to use this page to inspire other parents who dream of travelling with their kids. We believe that travelling is not only fun, but also educational and enriching. In fact we feel that travelling is one of the best forms of education out there.
